Four months and 19 days later, Vilaverdense took to the Cruz do Reguengo pitch again and were looking to return to last season's winning trend after facing an overly soft Farense side early in the match. Lenio opened the scoring in the 54th minute, substitute João Caiado scored the second goal in the 87th minute and Bruno Silva closed the scoring for Vilaverdense in 90+1. Farense scored already in added time, with goals from Taloci at 90+3 and Bruno Duarte from the penalty spot at 90+8.
Four months and 19 days later, Vilaverdense were back on the Cruz do Reguengo pitch and looking to return to their winning trend''last season, facing an overly soft Farense at the start of the match. To be fair, despite the hosts' great initiative on their debut under coach Sergio Machado, they had to wait until the 21st minute for the fans to get excited about a dangerous attack, but Fati, incredibly, failed to convert a chance in the small area of the Farense goal after a feed from the right by Rafael Viegas.

The match only became interesting in the second half after Lenio's goal in the 54th minute from a shot from a corner of the Farense area. The Algarvians tried to respond, but it was the hosts who scored two more goals, recorded by substitutes João Caiado and Bruno Silva, the latter of whom scored already in added time. In the last effort, Farense scored two more goals after several threats, but goals from Talocchi, the best player of the day, and Bruno Duarte were not enough to at least force an extension of the match.
