Georgia's military property, the former New Mexico Georgie O'Keefe property, is up for sale at an asking price of $15 million.

The vintage home of artist Georgia O'Keefe in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is up for sale for $15 million.

Not only was this adobe home the famous artist's last residence until her death in 1986, but it was also the inspiration for her famous paintings of landscapes and flowers.

In 2000, the house was purchased by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, whose estate still owns the property.

In addition to the six-bedroom, 21-room main house, the complex includes a library, game room, spacious living and dining rooms, and a solarium.

The top floor can be accessed either by stairs or elevator.

Through the covered gallery, guests will find the movie room, which has its own kitchen, bedrooms, and a cozy viewing area.

Wood ceilings, kiva fireplaces, brick and wood floors adorn the entire space.

In addition to the usual amenities of home, there is a conference and event center, with panoramic views and the perfect area to work.

Outside, a couple of guest houses are designed to entertain out-of-town guests, while a wisteria-covered barbecue area provides a place for informal gatherings, and the Grand Portal provides a large fireplace and views of the aspen grove and rose garden.

In honor of O'Keefe's passion for flowers and landscaping, there is an entire greenhouse on the grounds filled with impressive plants and botanicals.

To make the place even more impressive, the greenhouse houses a Bodhi tree presented by the Dalai Lama himself during his visit to the estate.

This tree is said to have grown from the seed of the tree under which the Buddha became enlightened.

The property is listed for sale by broker Paul Duran of Keller Williams Luxury in Santa Fe.
