British man detained in Spain after father killed in road accident in Costa del Sol resort

A wanted local man from the UK has been arrested on suspicion of his father's death after being hit by a car on the Costa del Sol in Spain.
Paul Murphy, 60, died after being hit by a Range Rover near an estate.
Hours later a man was arrested, along with his 30-year-old Spanish girlfriend and their friend, in connection with the incident.
Police are treating them as possible participants in the murder, but have not ruled out the theory that they accidentally hit the deceased.
The Range Rover seized for forensic examination is in the possession of the Spanish police.
It turned out that the deceased had one name on his passport and another name on his driver's license.
The arrested trio have been granted bail so they do not leave Spain while police investigate.
Mr Murphy was living in a £2,000-a-month villa near Puerto Banus.
One of his neighbors said: "The woman he lived with was much younger than him. As far as I know, he wasn't working. I assumed he was retired and had come to Spain to enjoy the sunshine. He drove a discreet car, but he must have had some means, because house prices in the area are up to £2000 a month for long term rentals and from £5000 in high season for short term rentals.
