Stepan Lorenzetto tells the story of the Mercury cinema for the magazine "Today," which was located just 700 meters from St. Peter's Basilica at via Porta di Castello 44. The property belonged to the Vatican. In the late 1980s, the cinema fell into crisis due to the rise of video cassettes and was transformed into Muccassassina - the most explicit nightclub in the capital. People of various orientations gathered at this place, and various events were held. Today, this building serves as a conference center for Lumsa University.
