'Euromoney' chooses CaixaBank as the leader in sustainability, social responsibility, and digital transformation in Spain.

The Spanish bank CaixaBank was recognized by 'Euromoney' magazine as the 'Best Bank for Sustainability in Spain in 2023', 'Best Bank for Corporate Responsibility in Spain in 2023', and 'Best Bank for Digital Solutions in Spain in 2023'. According to the bank, with these three awards, CaixaBank received a total of eight awards from 'Euromoney' in 2023, including the 'Best Bank in Spain' and 'Best Digital Bank in Western Europe' awards, as well as the 'Best Private Banking Organization in Spain' award in the private banking sector, setting a record for the company.

CaixaBank has become "the leading bank in Europe for issuing bonds with ESG criteria" (environmental, social, and governance), with 11 issuances since the publication of the framework document for issuing bonds linked to the Sustainable Development Goals in August 2019. A total of six green bonds and five social bonds have been issued, amounting to 10 billion euros and 500 million pounds sterling.

Regarding the award for 'Best Bank in Corporate Responsibility in 2023', the magazine 'Euromoney' recognized CaixaBank for its "deep social commitment." Supporting social programs and encouraging volunteering are for CaixaBank "a way to respond to the challenges that society presents," as well as providing services and solutions "for all categories of people" through financial activities. The bank has around 11,000 social housing units and approximately 360,000 clients using social or basic accounts.

As part of its "policy of providing close and quality service," CaixaBank has 1,619 specialists dedicated to elderly clients. Additionally, CaixaBank was recognized as the 'Best Bank for Digital Solutions in 2023' due to its focus on technology, innovation, and digital transformation. With over 11 million users of its digital bank, "the largest customer base in the financial services sector in Spain," CaixaBank works daily "on developing new models that meet the needs and demands of clients and bring products, services, and financial culture closer to every citizen."
