Spain is strengthening its position as a leading destination in the luxury real estate segment. Climate, culture, lifestyle, safety, and entertainment are some of the advantages that attract investors to our country, especially foreigners. Additionally, there is a wide and diverse selection of destinations and properties with particularly competitive prices compared to other markets like London or Monaco. Among the countries, the most sought-after market with the highest amount of inventory is the Balearic Islands. There is no doubt about that. Also in the spotlight are Castellón, Cádiz, Girona, Tarragona, and Alicante.

The capital, Palma de Mallorca, and the municipalities of Calvià, Pollensa, Bunyola, Deià, and Andratx stand out. In Ibiza, the highlights are Sant Josep de sa Talaia, Ibiza Town, and Santa Eulalia del Río. Factors such as safety, strategic geographical location, climate, and communication have become key in establishing the Balearic Islands as a luxury haven for decades, attracting a significant number of foreign investors.

Madrid community

In the Madrid community, luxury homes are mainly located in the capital, especially in the Salamanca district. The areas of Pozuelo de Alarcón, Alcobendas, and San Sebastián de los Reyes in the northern part of the region also attract significant interest.

Catalonia

In Catalonia, the capital, Sitges, Gavà, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, and Sant Cugat del Vallès are highlighted in the province of Barcelona; and municipalities of the Costa Brava, such as Begur, Blanes, Cadaqués, Castell-Platja d'Aro, and Sant Feliu de Guíxols, in Girona. Significant investments in luxury real estate have also been recorded in other provinces, such as Málaga, Cádiz, and Alicante.

Investor profile

The luxury segment is actively attracting foreign investors, mainly from Europe (Germany, the UK, Sweden, Switzerland) and increasingly from North and Latin America. Luxury buyers are looking for exclusivity, quality, and smart homes to manage their residences from anywhere at any time.
