Alexandria Real Estate Equities is discussing mental health and addiction issues at the Galien Forum USA2023.

At the Galien Forum USA2023 conference, which will take place on October26,2023 at the Alexandria Center for Life Science in New York, Alexandria Real Estate Equities will host a panel discussion on the "National Imperative to Address Mental Disorders and Addiction." The panel will feature Representatives Seth Moulton and Mike Waltz, as well as Navy SEAL Foundation Executive Director Robin King – dedicated advocates for mental health support and addiction recovery.

The discussion will focus on the need to overcome stigma and raise awareness about these devastating crises. Congressman Moulton is a veteran of the US Marine Corps and the initiator of the crisis and suicide hotline988. Congressman Waltz, a former Green Beret in the US Army and National Guard, is fighting for research and treatment of PTSD. Robin King, CEO of the Navy SEAL Foundation, is also a key member of the panel.

** The discussion will be dedicated to critical issues, strategies, and policies aimed at changing the perception and treatment of mental disorders and addictions to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients, including military personnel and veterans who suffer from these problems to a significantly greater extent. The presentation will be moderated by Joel Marcus, Executive Chairman and Founder of Alexandria Company, and Lynn Zidovsky, Chief Scientific Officer of the company.

The panel will be broadcast in live streaming mode on the official website of the Galien Foundation, where you can register for free access. A recording of the panel will also be available on the Galien Foundation's YouTube channel from October28,2023.

According to Joel Marcus, mental health and addiction issues are key areas of social responsibility for Alexandria. In the United States, over 49,500 people committed suicide in 2022, the highest rate in the country's history, and the number of drug overdose deaths exceeded 111,000, primarily due to the increase in fentanyl use.
