Global, the media and entertainment group, today announced that its Spanish division, Global Spain, has been awarded the exclusive advertising sales contract for Metro Barcelona. From January 1, 2024 to 2032, Global will replace JCDecaux on this contract.

Metro Barcelona serves 400 million passengers every year at 123 stations and offers a huge opportunity for advertisers in the heart of one of Spain's most dynamic and important cities. Metro Barcelona's fleet of advertising space includes more than 2,000 properties, including classic paper and digital screens.

As part of Global's plans, all digital signage in Metro Barcelona will be available for programmatic buying, allowing advertisers to run highly targeted, data-driven campaigns.

Global Spain will also implement a new audience measurement and data system on the Metro Barcelona network as part of the company's drive to accurately target audiences.
