The new life of the Galician woman who declared herself the owner of the sun

Thirteen years ago, the sun got an "owner". It is Ángeles Durán, a 62-year-old from Galicia, who claims to be the owner of this star. She even went to a notary to confirm it. The newspaper La Voz de Galicia made the news known around the world.

But not only that, now they would like to know what became of this woman who now lives in Italy. And Duran still doesn't understand why her idea of owning the sun has caused such an uproar. "If I were born again, I would claim ownership of the sun again without question," she confirms.

"When Dennis Hope took ownership of the moon, it didn't generate such a response in the world. Perhaps that's because in the case of an American, such a phenomenon is more common, and in Spain it's not' 'common,'" she explains.

Although she has had to face criticism from many people, she doesn't regret her decision, "I was and still am calm because I know what I'm doing." She didn't ask to only own a star, she also registered Tarzan's scream and the longest score in the world. Her hobbies are not related to that though, but rather the history and figure of Diana of Wales. Therefore, she is currently writing a book about the British royal family. She is also passionate about cooking and this led her to participate in the MasterChef Italia casting call. She was able to qualify for the competition with a lentil soup and potato omelet.
