La Specola

"La Specola" means "the observatory" in Italian, in memory of one of the former residents of this house. Among many titles, Marsilio Ficino, made famous by the Renaissance, was an astrologer and teacher to the Medici.

This estate consists of a main house and two annexes. Each has its own living rooms and bedrooms, but the main house is for communal use for dining, drinking and discussing the most important events of the year.

The second most important feature of this (and any) vacation home: the ability to bring in a chef. Homemade pizza and authentic bolognese - sounds artful, right?

Why go to the best restaurants in Florence, Rome or the nearby village of Figline Valdarno when you have the opportunity to try it all in your own temporary home?
