In the program, students visited the Borogluche vineyard and agricultural estate, which is located about 45 miles north of Venice.

One of the goals of the program is to train students to accurately and clearly communicate scientific information about the Mediterranean diet so that they can comfortably communicate with patients about the benefits of this diet when they return home.

The program faculty also strive to develop students' positive attitudes toward food and inclusion in their work with patients. They argue that the Mediterranean diet is an affordable and budget-friendly way of eating that can improve health and quality of life.

The students also studied scientific articles about the effects of the Mediterranean diet on diabetes and Alzheimer's disease, and analyzed statistics and graphs. They also practiced cooking with local farmers and visited markets to buy fresh produce.

Many students commented that the course had a positive impact on their attitudes towards food and lifestyle, and they were willing to make changes to their daily routine to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
