The second installment of "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery" will transport viewers to a Greek island, offering an exciting new plot that is sure to satisfy anyone who is hungry for the next season of "White Lotus." And luckily, you'll be able to visit the movie's filming locations.

Moving from the brown landscapes of New England to the blue and yellow tones of Greece

The move was a conscious move to differentiate the sequel from its predecessor, said writer-director-producer Rian Johnson. "While there is a rich tradition of detectives in cozy English settings or, in our case, New England country houses, there is also a rich tradition of travel-related detectives," Johnson said at a global press conference.

Whether you're planning a European vacation or looking for inspiration for your next dream, the filming locations of "Glass Onion" are sure to impress you. Get the full review in advance.

Amanzoe

In Benoit Blanc's (played by Daniel Craig) new adventure, a detective must solve a murder mystery on a billionaire's private estate on a Greek island. This mansion played Amanzoe, a luxury resort and hotel near Porto Heli in Greece. "It wasn't an island," designer-producer Rick Heinrichs told Condé Nast Traveler. "It is in the middle of the Peloponnese peninsula, so we had to rely entirely on visuals to make it look like an island. "

The resort consists of cabanas, pavilions and villas with private pools and spectacular views of olive groves and the Aegean Sea. "Each villa has a different view, and they lead to [Glass Onion] with the best view from the top," Heinrichs added. "It's a very epic view, almost like the Colosseum when you walk up to the villa - it reinforces the idea that people are going to kill each other. "

The resort is currently closed but will open for the summer season on April 1, 2023. If you're ready to plan a luxury vacation, you can already book your room.

Spetses, Greece

"We were also not far from the island of Spetses, where we also rented," Heinrichs said.

"When they all arrive in Greece and are waiting for the boat, it's Spetses. "

Spetses, just outside Athens, is a great weekend destination. While you're on the island, you can travel by carriage, bicycle or on foot. You can stroll around the island's old harbor, explore the shipyards, visit the Bubulina Museum, and wander the secluded beaches. In addition, the island is full of impressive homes, trendy stores and gourmet restaurants.

Belgrade, Serbia

Many interior scenes were shot on set in Belgrade, Serbia, including Glass Onion interiors and scenes taking place in New York City or the Northeast. "We shot some outdoor scenes in Connecticut and New York in the fall, and all the indoor scenes were built in Serbia," Heinrichs told

.

As the capital of Serbia, Belgrade is definitely worth a visit, especially for history buffs who want to see the iconic Beogradska Tvrdjava fortress, located at the intersection of the Danube and Sava rivers. There are also plenty of places for shopping, museums, architecture, nightlife and parks.
