"Congratulations! Count Osorno, the grandson of the richest woman in Spain, is expecting his first child with his beloved."

Congratulations!!! Count Osorno, grandson of Spain's richest woman, is expecting his first child with his real estate heiress wife Belen Corsini. Their happy news, which was revealed by Spanish media, follows the couple's lavish wedding in May 2021.

Carlos Fitz-James Stewart y Solis - Count Osorno is the grandson of Spain's richest woman and the youngest son of the 19th Duke of Alba, who inherited an estimated £2.2 billion fortune following the death of the late Duchess of Alba in November 2014.

Meanwhile, his wife of more than two years also comes from one of Spain's wealthiest families. Belen is the great-granddaughter of Carlos Corsini Senespleda, engineer and founder of the construction and public company Corsan, which was sold for 325 million euros in 2004.

Speaking to a reporter, Belen confirmed that the couple is expecting a boy. Their child will be the first grandchild of Carlos' grandfather, the Duke of Alba, as he already has two granddaughters. Carlos and Belen's wedding took place at the Liria Palace in Madrid, an 18th century estate that has belonged to Carlos' family for centuries. It was the most significant public wedding in a year and a half because of the Covid pandemic, which forced many European aristocrats to postpone their lavish weddings.

Although the couple could have invited up to 300 guests and held the ceremony indoors as recommended by Covid in Spain, they decided to limit the guest list.

They also held the ceremony outdoors, in the gardens of Versailles.

Among the guests were the Earl's older brother Fernando Fitz-James Stewart and his wife Sofia Palazuelo. Designer Ines Domecq, who dressed the Queen of Spain, was also present, as well as artist and designer Alejandra Dominguez. In turn, Belen's in-laws Alejandra Corsini and Alejandro Muñoz celebrated the family occasion in the Spanish capital.

Count Osorno was given a huge fortune after the death of his grandmother, María del Rosario Cayetana Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Francisca Fitz-James Stewart y de Silva, seven years ago. With nearly £2.2 billion, she was one of Europe's richest aristocrats when she died in November 2014 at her Seville residence, Palacio Duenas. Her husband Alfonso Diez, who was 24 years younger, allegedly received no inheritance, which included an impressive real estate estate complex, 50,000 works of art and 18,000 rare books, after he signed a document renouncing any claim to her wealth before their marriage in October 2011. Instead, the duchess, who was of direct royal descent from King James II of England, left all her property to her six children, each of whom received a palace and thousands of acres of land. Her eight grandchildren reportedly also inherited a significant portion of her fortune. As a relative of Winston Churchill, the Duchess shared toys with future Queen Elizabeth's older sister when they lived in England as children.
