Poor weather conditions, frequent refueling bans, insufficient staff at airports, a global shortage of spare parts, and other unfavorable circumstances have impacted operations throughout the summer.

Despite all this, in July and August, over a million passengers were transported to more than 80 destinations around the world, breaking records set even before the COVID-19 pandemic.

July was the most intense month, with 27% more passengers transported compared to July 2022, and 39% more than in the same month of 2019.

Good results were also recorded in August, which turned out to be the 14th consecutive month with record figures.

“We are currently intensively preparing for the upcoming winter season, which is expected to be very dynamic,” said Air Serbia CEO Jiri Marek.

The most popular destinations in the region in July and August 2023 were Tivat and Podgorica.

As for Western Europe, passengers most frequently visited Zurich, Paris, and Amsterdam, while in the broader Euro-Mediterranean region, popular destinations included Istanbul, Larnaca, Athens, and Barcelona.

Among long-haul destinations, New York ranks in the top ten for the number of passengers over the two summer months.
