A realtor flies to Spain and back to complete a real estate transaction.
A Hampshire estate agency has been praised after making a marathon journey to help clients sell their properties.
Staff at Ross Nichols Agency, which has branches in the village of Highcliffe and New Milton between Bournemouth and Southampton, flew to Spain and back to get the crucial signature needed to complete the deal.
The wonderful thing is that sellers Arthur and Margaret Faulkner are moving just two and a half miles down the coast from Mudford to Highcliffe.
One of the agency's employees, department manager George Gosling, then drove to Newcastle to hand in a document to get the deal completed on time, having traveled 3,000 miles for the whole thing.
The local newspaper reports that the story began in the early hours of June 9, when Gosling flew from Bristol toMurcia, then drove 125 miles to a villa where someone involved in the deal was living, and another 137 miles to Alicante, where he took a midnight flight back to Bristol.
On arrival, he handed the document to sales manager Ross Croucher, who delivered the document to Newcastle by 9am the following morning, the day the deal was finalized.
Croucher told The New Milton Advertiser that the agency had just 48 hours to complete the deal and that "if we didn't sign the documents, the whole deal would have fallen apart".
