The most expensive house in Bulgaria looks like it belongs in Beverly Hills.
Mansion Global walks through a modern home outside of Sofia in its latest YouTube video release.
This modern glass-covered house may look like it just arrived from Beverly Hills, but it is actually on the market a few thousand kilometers away in Sofia, Bulgaria's capital and largest city.
The house cost 10.5 million euros ($11.4 million), making it the most expensive house in the entire country.
An eight-figure offer isn't particularly surprising, given that low-key Bulgarian real estate has outperformed its European neighbors.
According to Knight Frank's latest Global Home Price Index, home prices in the country rose 9.5% in the year to March, outperforming major real estate markets in Spain, France and Italy.
Spread over three floors and over 21,000 square feet, this fenced property is the epitome of luxury and is a strong contrast to Sofia's historic architecture, which encompasses medieval fortresses as well as the iconic Byzantine-style domed cathedral built in the early 20th century.
Liz Lucking of Mansion Global gives a tour of this record-breaking home in our latest YouTube installment.
