The tough competition of the lazy continues in Montenegro: Top 5 slackers (month)
The participants from the village of Brezna in Montenegro could be in the Guinness Book of World Records because, believe it or not, they've been lying down for a month. There are still five contestants left, three girls and two guys, vying for the title of "laziest" and a prize of 1000 euros. No one wants to give up now that victory is so close.
The lying competition is breaking all records.
This is truly unprecedented. All records were broken long ago. Every one of those five contestants who wins deserves it. No one wants to give up now, this is much more than a laying contest, it's a real mental game. We try to provide them with the best conditions. We bring them food and drinks, there are also doctors who monitor their health," says Micho Blagojevic, owner of Montenegro Ethno Village and ideologist of this competition.

Snoozing competitionThe fact that Montenegrins are not the only ones who can and want to lie down the longest is shown by Jovan from Krusevac, the only Serbian participant who remained in the "top 5". - There is no particular strategy, I consider myself strong enough to handle any fair opponent. That's why I'm all about me. I try to fill my time with things I enjoy: sports broadcasts, music, movies, books,... Not easy. We all agree amongst ourselves that even in our dreams we wouldn't have come if we knew it would drag on this long. There are no physical difficulties, especially for us men, but the psychological struggle with oneself is a big challenge," says Jovan Crncanin. (RINA)
