There are several castles in our country that are real cultural and artistic treasures. One such castle is Bellever Castle, located three kilometers from the city of Palma de Mallorca. It was built in the early fourteenth century by order of King Jaime II of Mallorca in the Gothic style. The castle is located on a hill rising more than 100 meters above sea level, surrounded by forest and overlooking the sea and the Sierra de Tramuntana mountains. Its name comes from the Old Catalan "bell veer", which means "beautiful view".

Another fortalza is the Castle of Peñiscola, or the Castle of the Pope of the Moon.
