Tragedy in SSCT: A security guard and a business owner beat and killed a young man

29-year-old Hüseyin Mavideniz from the UK traveled to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus for treatment for his father.
He was beaten up by security guards at an entertainment venue in Iskel in the early hours of yesterday and died from his injuries. Mavideniz, while at the establishment with friends, reportedly drank too much and started acting rowdy and when asked to leave the place, he got into an argument with the security guards. It is said that security guards pushed Mavideniz out of the establishment at 03:30 local time and beat him outside with kicks and punches. The recordings made by witnesses show security guard Mehmet Yazıcıcı hitting Mavideniz on the head, causing him to fall, and the owner of the establishment, Dogu Alcıner, kicking him on the head when he was already on the ground. Mavideniz suffered serious injuries from these blows and, despite being transported to the hospital, died at the scene.
When they learned of Mavideniz's death, his relatives rushed to the hospital with sledgehammers, smashed windows and damaged furniture.
