One of the most interesting attractions of Dalaman is the railway station. Its exclusivity lies in the fact that no route goes to this station, as the town has no railroad connection at all. As it turns out, the reason for this embarrassment was the French architects who got their orders mixed up. They were simultaneously received two expensive orders: to create projects for a railroad station in Egypt and hunting lodge for the mayor Abbas Pasha in Dalaman. By an unfortunate coincidence, the hunting lodge went to Africa, while the railroad station was built on the Mediterranean coast.

This is the most ancient village, located two kilometers from the town in the direction to Fethiye. Despite the fact that only fragments of the city walls have survived in a preserved state, the surrounding area is of interest to admirers of history and ancient architecture.

The ancient Lycian cities of Lidai, Kria, and Lissai are no less interesting, and they are systematically visited by tourists. The uniqueness of these ancient Greek villages lies in the fact that they can be seen in their original glory, as archaeological work on their territory has never been carried out. Also 30 km away from Dalaman is the ancient town of Hippokom with the most famous rock tombs. The cave on Gokdag Mountain, the ancient handicraft workshops in the village of Gürkey and one of the oldest bridges across the Dalaman River - Akkopru.
