New requirements for foreign employees and entrepreneurs in Spain
The Spanish government has published additional guidelines regarding the documentation requirements for applicants for long-term visas, employment or business permits. The new rules affect the education and qualifications of applicants.
In particular, persons in regulated professions such as doctors, lawyers, dentists and others must provide proof of their academic credentials when applying for a visa or work permit.

The authorities may also require verification from individuals who hold a university degree or have completed professional courses. These requirements apply to regulated professions in Spain, but specific guidance on types of work permits or visas has not previously been published.
Regarding entrepreneurship, Spain's National Innovation Agency (ENISA) will compile reports on each entrepreneur for the government.
