Greece pressures Albania to get out of crisis

Athens has repeatedly urged Albania to allow Fredi Beleri to be sworn in, calling it politically and ethnically motivated. The Albanian government has said it cannot interfere in legal processes and that the judicial system must run its course.
It was rumored over the weekend that Athens refused to back a letter asking the Commission to open the first five chapters of the negotiations.
The source said Athens is emphasizing several issues concerning the rule of law, such as the Beleri case and the implementation of some laws concerning Albania's Greek minority, including property rights.
