A four-bedroom semi-detached bungalow in Portugal - $4.3 million (€3.9 million)
This four-bedroom thatched-roof home is nestled among pine trees and ancient olive trees a few miles from a 40-mile stretch of Atlantic Ocean beach in Comporte, a coastal area in the south-central Alentejo region, just an hour south of Lisbon.
This modern version of a traditional country villa in Comporte of 264 square meters was built in 2019 on a plot of 0.18 hectares. With sunsets next to rice fields and farms across the flat terrain, the outdoor roof terrace allows people to enjoy panoramic views, says Luiz Felipe Maia, founder and director of Maia Properties International, which has this offering.
From a single covered car frame of varnish-impregnated Portuguese oak branches lead steps up a walkway past a boomerang-shaped pool, wooden decking and garden. At the entrance, wood-framed glass doors can open to the sides, allowing you to enter the living room with a beamed ceiling. Microcement flooring extends throughout the main area. The fireplace is adorned with display shelves, and glass doors lead to a terrace under a pergola roof for comfortable outdoor living and dining.
The kitchen, open to the living room, features a center island with stone countertops, sink and cooktop. The cabinets are made of Riga pine wood and the hardware is Miele.
