The Florence House in San Giovanni is preparing an evening dedicated to Danilo Montenegro, an Emana concert and a photo contest

The head of the City of San Giovanni in Fiore, Rosaria Succuro, said that summertime continues with unforgettable musical, cultural and entertainment events that adhere to tradition and attract locals and tourists.

She noted that the documentary "Le Radici", about the emigration of the inhabitants of San Giovanni in Fiore to France, created by François De Luca, had already premiered. The event was followed by free concerts by renowned musicians Voltarelli, Ruggeri, Equipe 84 and De Piscopo.

The next event will be a performance by the musician Eman, who is a youth idol and will perform on Via Roma on August 19 at 21:30 with free admission. On August 21 at 21:00 on the stage of the theater behind the Abbey of Fiore will be Montenegro Festival Stories, dedicated to the memory of Danilo Montenegro - singer, artist, poet and unforgettable voice of Calabrian music. The evening will feature performances by Mimmo Cavallaro, Il Parto delle nuvole pesanti, Raffaele Zumpano, Raffaele Rizza, Ilaria Montenegro and many other musicians who played with the great Danilo.

Also on the same day, an exhibition of photographs by Mario Iaquinta will be opened at the Belsito Museum in the afternoon of August 17.

On August 18, the fourth national photo contest "Città di San Giovanni in Fiore" will take place, with the award ceremony scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Marra Hall of the Fiore Abbey. Also on August 18 at 21:00 will begin the contest "Miss Paciana 2023", chaired by writer and anthropologist Mauro Minervino, which will be held in the theater behind the Abbey of Fiore.

From 21:00 on August 20, 22 and 23, on the terrace of the municipal library there will be a series of "Visioni femminili", organized by the intellectual Emilio Arnone, with the screening of significant films on the role of women.
