Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo has built a £7million palace on the Portuguese Riviera to relax with his family.

In media reports, Cristiano Ronaldo is building a new mansion in one of Portugal's most prestigious areas. The 37-year-old Manchester United striker has bought the most expensive apartment ever sold in Lisbon, costing £6.5 million and including a gym and indoor swimming pool. He also spent more than £7 million on a large plot of land in Quinta da Marinha, the so-called Portuguese Riviera, according to Portuguese media.

Work has just begun on a mansion said by respected Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha to be the soccer star's latest acquisition. According to TV 7 Dias, CR7 plans to use the house as an investment, although it is possible that he plans to use it''as a family home after retirement. A source described as a future neighbor told the magazine, "The plot of land is newly fenced and Ronaldo bought it. This is where he intends to live with his family when he finishes his career. Cinta da Marinha is half an hour from Lisbon airport and ten minutes from the center of the coastal town of Cascais, a resort destination on the Lisbon coast. The rich coastal region centered around Cascais, Estoril and Sintra is known as the Portuguese Riviera. Cristiano's property empire also includes a seven-storey apartment block overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Madeira's capital Funchal, which he purchased in 2019.
