'Real estate, construction and urban transformation exhibition in Izmir begins'

Rescon Expo-2 was inaugurated in Izmir. Real Estate, Construction and Urban Renovation, organized jointly by Izmir Municipality, IZFAŞ and Nobel Expo Fuarcılık.

Deputy Secretary General of Izmir Municipality Sufi Şahin said, "The earthquake we experienced on February 6 has once again shown us the need for more caution in the construction and real estate industry, constant monitoring of the construction process and well-planned urban reconstruction.

The Municipality of Izmir continues to be a pillar of the economy by organizing exhibitions in various sectors. The opening of Rescon Expo-2, which gathered representatives of the construction and real estate industry, was held at Fuar Izmir A Hol.''This year's exhibition features international exhibitors from Northern Cyprus, Montenegro and Belgium.

In his opening speech, Deputy Secretary General of Izmir Municipality Sufi Şahin said that the earthquake that took place on February 6 and affected 10 provinces shows the need for a more careful attitude towards the construction and real estate sector, constant monitoring of the construction process and well-planned urban reconstruction. Suphi Shaheen emphasized that this is a sector that affects about 200 industries and directly employs more than 1.6 million people and indirectly more than 6 million people.

The exhibitors at Rescon Expo include companies involved in housing, villas, residences and mass housing projects, real estate sales agencies and land offices, cooperatives and property companies, manufacturers and importers of wooden and steel pre-assembled houses, companies performing mass housing construction and urban renovation, architectural offices, engineering companies, building control companies, government agencies, universities and''municipalities.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the Rescon Expo, including local and foreign investors looking to buy or rent homes or commercial spaces, real estate and enterprise experts and consultants, and business representatives. The expo will also be accompanied by discussions that will improve the industry. In addition, the partnerships that will emerge from the bilateral meetings will contribute to the development of the industry and related sectors, as well as supporting the national economy and employment.
